Description

This course aims to give a mathematically rigorous introduction to the probability theory at the undergraduate level, but no measure theory, the purpose of which is to apply probability theory to model real-life situations that involve uncertainty in the field of natural science, social science, and engineering, etc. The following topics will be included in the course: joint distribution of random variables, Sums of independent random variables, multivariate expectation and variance, law of large numbers and conditional distribution.
