Description

This course introduces the principles of Chemistry. The topics include basic principles and definitions, stoichiometry, chemical equilibrium, gas laws, atomic and molecules structure, periodic relationships, intermolecular forces, properties of solids, liquids, stoichiometry and introduction to reaction in aqueous solutions, infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, thermochemistry, and chemical bonding. Students will learn how to apply dimensional analysis to solve problems, understand gas law and use apply them to solve problems, explain the relationship between heat, work, internal energy, explain the concept of quantization, and use different bonding theories to determine chemical.
